Hey Guys Welcome To Tani Blogs !!
Arunachal Pradesh has an ample amount of places to visit, as the largest state by area in the North Eastern region of India, I'll try to trim it down to top 5 places, that I think that one must visit. So criteria here would be connectivity, weather, people, accessibility and other such factors, so lets begin.

TOP 5 Places To Visit In Arunachal Pradesh

5. Anjaw District

The Anjaw District is the eastern most place in India. It shares International boundaries with both Myanmar and China. Anjaw is blessed with different types of vegetation ( You'll Notice the change moving up from Hayuliang towards Walong, Kibithoo, Dong valley If Arunachal is known as the land of the rising sun, it is in Dong Valley that receives the first light in India. Anjaw District also has been blessed with tons of rivers. Meyor(Zakhring) and Mishmi are the indigenous inhabitants of the district of Anjaw. Nearest Airport is In Dibrugarh Assam around 278 km away from Anjaw District, can be traveled through road or by helicopter service

4. Ziro ( Lower Subansiri District)

Next Up on our list is the Abode of The Apatani People, ZIRO. Unique style of housing (traditional), abundance of pine grooves, paddy cultivation along with pisciculture can be seen, its a scenic beauty that one must visit at least once, along with the unique Apatani culture one can also visit Ziro during the International music festival known as Ziro Music Festival which attracts lots of travel and music enthusiast towards the land of the Apatanis. Its Connected through

Very Well connected through excellent roads, nearest railway is just 1: 45 kms approx. away at Tinsukia. Home to the Khamti and Sighpho Tribes, Witness their Theravada Buddhist culture that you won't find anywhere else on Arunachal Pradesh to say the least. visit beautiful monasteries in and around Namsai Town, while enjoying the scenic beauty of the land of Buddha.

1. Tawang (Tawang District)

A very popular tourist destination in Arunachal Pradesh. People visit Tawang to witness snow fall, scenic beauty, vibrant Tibetan Buddhist culture. Land to the Monpa people of the erstwhile Monyul Kingdom. His Holiness the 6th Dalai Lama was also a Monpa. Recommended as good connectivity through road, or through helicopter.

If ,You've been wondering about how to visit Arunachal Pradesh from different parts of India or from anywhere on this gods green earth. I hope this post might at least  help you guys a bit, as honestly visit to Arunachal Pradesh is not something that is advertised as often as other tourist places in India. So lets run down through the steps, as there are some essential requirements too.

STEP 1 : PERMIT

As Arunachal Pradesh is a volatile area due to border issues with our neighboring country of The Peoples Republic of China, it is a restricted area, to visit Arunachal Pradesh a person with Indian citizenship has to apply for the Inner Line Permit (ILP). You can get ILP on arrival at border checkpoints, or you can visit Office of the Deputy Resident Commissioner at the following cities
Delhi, Kolkata, Guwhati, Tezpur, Shillong. But the easiest way to get Instant ILP is through online, avail ILP through eILP (Click Here) . Asfor foreign citizen you guys have to apply for Restricted Area Permit (RAP) or Protected Area Permit (PAP) to enter Arunachal Pradesh, Learn more about it from Government Annexure

STEP 2 : HOW TO REACH ARUNACHAL

Lets see how you can reach Arunachal Pradesh. Travel could be done through different modes of transports, wiz Railways, Roadways, Helicopter Service. Arunachal still doesnt have a passenger flight connectivity, for that purpose the nearest airport is the LGBI International Airport. With Helicopter Service you can visit various parts of Arunachal Pradesh, As for the Railways, the only city its connected to is the Twin Capital City of Naharlagun

Naharlagun Railway Station

BASIC TIPS -

Language : Almost everywhere in Arunachal Hindi is prevalent, though its our own creolized version so listen carefully, many Arunachlee people will know understandable to fluent English, depending on which place you visit, Assamese is also quite prevalent non Arunachalee language in some parts of Arunachal. So it does not hurt to know these language, and even better if somehow you speak a mother tongue of any Arunachalee tribe, specially if you are visiting rural areas.

Religion : A very prevalent misconception of many outsiders is that they think that Arunachal Pradesh is a predominantly a Buddhist Majority states, so clearing this mis conceptions out, although there is a sizable Buddhist population mainly in Tawang district, West Kameng and Namsai, You will seldom find a Buddhist in other parts of the state.

Beware of Touts : I'd Advice you to be very careful of such people, if you are arriving by plane at LGBI Airport, Guwahati, dont board any of the private taxi drivers from just outside the airport, they might try to persuade you rigorously, they will charge very high amounts, Its better if you book your ride from Within the Airport, You will find a Arunachal Tourism Booth inside the Airport itself.

Don't get in Trouble with the Locals : Although Peaceful generally, situation could turn ugly if provoked. Tribal blood enough said.
